Meet the eight semi-finalists competing in SiriusXM’s third annual Top of the Country contest

From coast-to-coast, these rising stars will be moving forward in the competition with a chance to win $25,000 and more.

From the Hudson Bay-born protégé of a former Fleetwood Mac producer, to a former The Voice contestant, the 2020 SiriusXM Top of the Country semi-finalists are:

  • Nate Hall (Toronto, ON)
  • Kalsey Kulyk (Hudson Bay, SK)
  • Brittany Kennell (Beaconsfield, QC)
  • Tyler Joe Miller (Surrey, BC)
  • Kelly Prescott (Almonte, ON)

Pivoting in response to COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines, SiriusXM Top of the Country was formatted differently in this year but continued to prioritize granting all contestants a rich and informative experience. Despite the years challenges, SiriusXM and the CCMA have remained committed to furthering and championing Canada’s country music culture. All eight semi-finalists benefited from the annual mentorship program, receiving virtual sessions with industry professionals, and were also equipped with audio/video equipment to capture live recording sessions right from their homes. The winner will be crowned at Country Music Week 2021, following a live show featuring the artists and a major headliner. The winner will also receive a $25,000 grand prize, a SOCAN song writing trip and more.

Voting starts TODAY at 10 a.m. ET through to 11:59p.m. ET on June 28,2021. Country fans can watch all studio sessions at vote at for their favourite performers once daily.
