ROLE OVERVIEW

Are you an entertainment executive who believes in the power of connection through media and music?  The Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) is searching for a high energy, visionary leader to join the team as President. As the public figure and brand ambassador of Country Music in Canada, the President will have a passion for music and culture, particularly in this rapidly growing genre within a quickly changing industry.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President will effectively lead the overall organization such that it successfully achieves its mission to promote and recognize Canadian country music by educating, elevating, and celebrating Canadian talent and fostering the spirit, community, and creativity that country music represents.Detail oriented with the ability to think in terms of the big picture, the President will be forward thinking and strategically focused in order to successfully develop and lead the vision for the future of country music in this country.

A born leader and seasoned marketer with extensive knowledge in both traditional and digital broadcast media, the President will leverage their proven track record in leading teams and managing relationships with major stakeholders and partners. Most importantly, this leader will be a creative thought leader with an entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to act in the capacity of general manager by leveraging their working knowledge of finance and operations.
