CCMA and RBC Celebrate Emerging Country Artists June 23, 2010 CCMA and RBC celebrate Emerging Country Artists
(Toronto, ON) June 23, 2010 – The Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) and RBC will be celebrating the talent of local, up-and-coming country music artists through the RBC Emerging Artists Project. Beginning Saturday, July 10 the Newcap Stage at West Edmonton Mall will feature performances by Jason Greeley, Mark Lorenz, Mary Resek and Six West, just to name a few.
“We’re really proud of this new partnership with RBC, which allows us to showcase emerging artists and give us an outlet to promote Country Music Week and the Canadian Country Music Awards which are coming to Edmonton in September,” said chair of the CCMA board of directors, Jackie Rae Greening.
The RBC Emerging Artists Project will kick off at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 10. Performances will run on the Newcap Stage every Saturday until September 11. The full schedule, programmed courtesy of the Alberta Country Music Association, will be available online at www.ccma.org and www.countrymusicedmonton.com in the coming weeks.
