Ray GriffBackground:It was the late Jim Reeves and Johnny Horton who first recorded a Ray Griff song, launching the young songwriter to international stardom in Nashville. In the 35 years since, Griff has written more than 2000 songs and has had over 500 of them covered by artists such as Dolly Parton and Jerry Lee Lewis. He has released 22 albums of his own, had 50 top 100 singles and earned over 80 different ASCAP and BMI Awards.Ray Griff hosted his own television series, "Goodtime Country", during the late 1970's and has guested on many country shows during the years.
